New Recreation Centre Coming to Stony Plain
The Town of Stony Plain has broken ground on an exciting new project – the Stony Plain Recreation Centre! This state-of-the-art facility will serve as a central hub for regional wellness, recreation, and gathering.
Features include:

- Walking and running track
- Turf field
- Two multi-purpose sport courts
- Pickleball courts
- Six-sheet curling facility, and more!

Stony Plain and Spruce Grove Celebrate Completion of Joint Trail Connection Project
The Town of Stony Plain and the City of Spruce Grove have completed construction on the final phase of the Joint Trail Connection project, a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing connectivity and quality of life for residents of both municipalities.

New School Now Open!
Westview School, formerly Stony Plain Central School, is now open! Accommodating approximately 900 students from Kindergarten through Grade 9, the school welcomed staff and students to the first day of classes in September 2023.
